ShareDRMusic is the answer. The following tutorial details how to transfer both protected and unprotected WMA (Windows Media Audio) music files to iPod.

Transfer unprotected WMA to iPod is really easy. You just select and drag them into iTunes Library, iTunes will automatically convert them to whatever iPod format you selected in iTunes preferences for importing. Then sync them into your iPod.

If you want to transfer DRM protected WMA files to iPod, it is not that easy. You need to use some software to strip the DRM off your WMA files, then convert the WMA files to the much more widely-supported MP3 format. The following chapter show you how to do this process.

1. Download the latest verison of ShareDRMusic, and install it.

You may download the latest version of ShareDRMusic here. Then install it. After installation finished, please restart your computer.

2. Run Share DRM Music, click Settings button to set output folder and output format.

Set output folder and some parameters related to output MP3. You may keep the default values, it's OK.

3. Run Windows Media Player, click Library tab, then right-click on the playlist in your library that contains the audio files you want to burn and select Add To Burn List.

Or you can click All Music, choose music files from your library, right click Add to>Burn List. Also you can drag music files from your library to burn list, but you must choose Burn List in the right corner first.

4. Click Burn menu, choose CD Drive(G:) - Audio CD as the burner.

5. Click Start Burn.

6. Get output MP3 files in ShareDRMusic

When burning is finished, You will find all converted music files are listed in the main window of ShareDRMusic. Maybe ShareDRMusic is still encoding MP3, please wait until it finished. Then you may click Folder button to view the output files. After import those MP3 files into your iTunes, you may sync them into you iPod.
